2 Align Verb To arrange in a straight line
We aligned the two wooden beams, knowing it was critical that they be able to hold up the entire set.

3 Conducive Adjective To lead or contribute to something else
Dave’s endless complaining about not liking parts of his job was not conducive to a good working environment for the rest of the team, so Sonya fired him.

4 Epitome Noun A person or thing who has all the typical qualities of something “Indifference, to me, is the epitome of evil.” –Elie Wiesel The epitome of an autumn tree.

5 Facility Noun The ability or equipment to do something easily
She had an impressive facility for hockey. Without her, the team couldn’t have made the playoffs.

6 Gallivant Verb To wander about seeking pleasure
The king and his men gallivanted through the town’s streets, but were disappointed by the poor options for entertainment.

7 Incredulous Adjective
Unwilling or unable to believe; showing disbelief As his claims grew more and more outlandish, I grew more and more incredulous.

8 Jargon Noun Specialized language in a particular field
His conversation was so full of jargon that I, not being a nuclear engineer, had no hope of understanding what he said.

9 Repercussion Noun An indirect result of something else
One of the repercussions of the heart health gym program he started was that he lost fifteen pounds.

10 Smolder Verb To burn without a flame
Long after the fire had gone out, our house sat smoldering, too hot to see if we could recover anything.

11 Stoic Adjective Unmoved by any emotion or feeling Noun
A person that shows no emotion No matter how loudly she yelled that he had to give her a free meal, he remained stoic and insisted that she leave.
