Lets look at the math statement = First I must solve the first equation, = then I must solve the second equation. Both equations equal the same sum so I know that = is a true math statement. Compare equations to determine if the statement is true or not true.

Another example Lets look at the math statement 155 + 23 = 123 + 50.
First I must solve the first equation: = 178 Then I must solve the second equation = 173 The equations do not have the same sum so this math statement is not true. = Compare equations to determine if the statement is true or not true.
