4 MURCIA Murcia is one of the seventeen provinces of Spain. It is located in the southeast, bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Murcia is famous for its nice weather.It’s very hot in summer and winters are not very cold.

5 Murcia is divided into counties.

6 The most important river in Murcia is “el río Segura” (Segura’s river).
Murcia has habitants. One of the most important festival in Murcia is: “el bando de la huerta”, there is a parade, where people dressed in typical costumes dance typical songs and distribute typical Murcian food.

8 One of the most important buildings in Murcia is the Cathedral
One of the most important buildings in Murcia is the Cathedral. This monument has a Gothic’s style. Some other interesting places are: Romea Theatre, Floridablanca´s Garden, which is the oldest garden in Murcia

12 This is our flag: It has four castles and seven crowns.

13 The four castles are the castles in Cartagena.
The seven crowns are the privileges given by the monarchy to the province, for helping the monarchy. The shield has the same symbols that the flag, but it includes a crown, the real crown.

One of the most important cities in the region is Cartagena. Here you can find the Roman Theatre Museum and many other Roman remains. A famous park is Parque Torres.

22 LORCA Another famous city in Murcia is Lorca where you can find the Castle Of Lorca.
