Our objectives for today are:
Introduce ourselves Discuss some course instructions Analize and discuss about things we have others do for us. Use three-word phrasal verbs to talk about services and dating.

Introductions! Stick it on the wall
Do a Self-portrait! Draw yourself and register the following: - No name - Age (optional) - Occupation (career, career grade) - People you live with - Something you are good at (math, drawing, dancing, singing, speaking, etc) - Reasons to learn English - Goals - Other Stick it on the wall Visit a specific portrait and try to find the owner of it (ask questions to your partners). When you have done so, be ready to introduce that person.

Final grade observations:
For students to pass each level, they must have at least 80% attendance AND receive at least a 73% final grade. In the case that a student has lower than 80 % attendance they must complete a justification form and pass the level with at least a 83% final grade. *If given prior written approval by the Coordination, students may pass to the next level ON PROBATION IF AND ONLY IF they receive %. Probation means that they must pass the next level with a 73% + points they lacked in the previous level. (CEC-EPN) Final grade observations:

Classroom Rules Being late: - Up to 9 minutes late = No absence
- 10 minutes on = late - 20 minutes on = absent - 3 late marks = 1 absence Absences: - You can have up to 3 absences ➡ 3 + = Bring a justification

Late Homework? No. Talk to your teacher about it. Late Quizzes and Tests? - Present duly justification. (i.e. Doctor's note). Food in class? - It is not ok, unless we have agreed on having it one day.

Cell-phone, iPad, or any other device in class
- No. Unless it is for the purpose of completing a classroom task. - One (1) point less from your participation grade for every instance you use your device. - When making or receiving an emergent call, please let your professor know. Plagiarism All students involved in plagiarism will automatically get a zero. Google translation. Please, don't. Questions?

Role-play (3-4 minutes) One person in your group has travelled to a different country for a year, and now that she is in Ecuador she needs to get several things done for her (laundry, the lawn, haircut, etc). The rest of the members in the group will be the people that provide those services. Use the causatives have and get (active or passive voice)
