1 Data Analysis Group 3 Sensor: Humidity

2 Data collected Create a scatter graph
Make sure to adjust axis according to the data Insert data in excel

3 What’s the relationship?
The lower the temperature the humidity.

4 Group 3 Humidity Temperature Limits Humidity
-The temperature of a parcel of air puts a limit on how much water vapor (humidity) the parcel of air can hold. The warmer the air, the more water vapor it can hold. By the same token, cold air can hold significantly less water vapor than warm air. Meaning that warm air can hold more moisture than cold air. Hence if the temperature of the air increases, Its capacity to hold the moisture increases provided additional moisture is supplied to the air. That is why, in the equatorial regions, the humidity(particularly absolute humidity) is constantly higher because of the high temperature and the moisture. But over the deserts, despite high temperature, humidity is low-moisture being scarce.  Relative Humidity Is Based On Temperature -The relationship between temperature and humidity is often expressed by a percentage called relative humidity. Relative humidity is the ratio of water vapor present in air at a given temperature relative to the maximum amount of water vapor the air at that temperature could hold. Since warm air will hold more moisture than cold air, the percentage of relative humidity must change with changes in air temperature. Relative humidity(which is different from absolute humidity)decreases with a rise in temperature. Because, the relative humidity depends not only upon the amount of water vapor actually present but also on the air temperature. Hence, if no moisture is added, an increase in temperature will result in a corresponding decrease in the relative humidity

5 So what kind of humidity did we have?
relative humidity or absolute humidity & why?
