2 Joining with the Communion of Saints,
Praying the Rosary: The Luminous Mysteries Begin by naming what you’re offering this prayer for: In the name of the savior of the world, Jesus Christ, and trusting in the help of Mary, our mystical mother, teacher and guide, I pray this Rosary using the Mysteries of Light for my continued conversion and for the conversion of the whole world, and to intercede for _______. Joining with the Communion of Saints, I have full confidence in this prayer, because…

3 I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God,
Praying the Rosary: The Luminous Mysteries I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen!

4 Praying the Rosary: The Luminous Mysteries
Our Father, who art in heaven … Give us this day our daily bread … The first 3 prayers are offered for the Pope, our bishop and priests, and for the ministries we all have in continuing the mission of Christ. For the gift of Faith to increase in us and spread to the whole world: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you … Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. For the gift of Hope to increase in us and spread to the whole world: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you … Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. For the gift of Love to increase in us and spread to the whole world: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you … Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end, amen.

6 The First Luminous Mystery THE BAPTISM OF JESUS
Praying the Rosary: The Luminous Mysteries The First Luminous Mystery THE BAPTISM OF JESUS “The Baptism in the Jordan is first of all a mystery of light. Here, as Christ descends into the waters, the innocent one who became "sin" for our sake, the heavens open wide and the voice of the Father declares him the beloved Son, while the Spirit descends on him to invest him with the mission which he is to carry out.” Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.... After Jesus was baptized, he came up out of the water, and the heavens opened up for him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending upon him like a dove. A voice came from the heavens, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." (Matt. 3:13,17)

7 Praying the Rosary: The Luminous Mysteries
The Lord Jesus came to each of us in our baptisms. When you were baptized, the Holy Spirit descended upon you, and the Father said, "This is my beloved child, with whom I am well pleased!" Thus, you became the light of Christ to shine in the world. You have been invested with the mission of this light! Our Father, who art in heaven … Give us this day our daily bread…

8 Praying the Rosary: The Luminous Mysteries
Hail Mary, full of grace … Holy Mary, Mother of God … (10 times) For the gift of being called to continue Christ's mission of light for the world, we give praise to God: Glory be to the Father … As it was in the beginning … For my continued conversion and for the conversion of the whole world, including _____ for whom I'm offering this prayer: Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Your Mercy.

10 Praying the Rosary: The Luminous Mysteries
CLOSING PRAYER For all the intentions of the Pope, who daily prays for the conversion of the world, for global peace and for peace in our homes, we offer this prayer: Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then O most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ!
