Egyptians mined and quarried many various materials all around Egypt. Another thing is that the Egyptians used it for many uses.

  With the Nile cutting through various rock formations, Egyptian quarries are often close to the river. Metal and precious stones on the other hand were found mostly in the desert, where living conditions were difficult and the security situation often precarious [6].     Work in the mines was therefore often seasonal.
