Assessment Activities
Show students different objects. Have them classify them by attracted or not attracted to a magnet.
Have students observe, predict, and keep a record of objects that can or cannot be attracted to a magnet. Have them keep this record in their science journal.

what an object is made of will determine if it is attracted to a magnet.
some things are attracted to a magnet and some things are not.
