2. Music Poster Analysis
Here, I analyse some music posters in the event that I decide to create a music poster during post-production.
I may not create a poster as I am going to create a music review and a detailed article to support my interviews on the interactive webpage, but I still think that it is important to take a look at other music posters to see how they are professionally created.

3. Heavy Metal Poster
This is a poster which advertises a concert which features a heavy metal band. I have chosen this poster, as it features bands of a similar genre to my band.
The fonts used are typical fonts used for the logos of these kinds of bands, they are quite gothic, sharp and angry fonts to use.
The background of this poster is a very dark, scratched background. The darkness fits with the themes of these bands and the scratches further prove anger and aggression which is also a common theme of heavy metal bands.
You can see four skulls in each corner of the poster which further proves the themes of aggression and death which is something that these bands focus heavily on.
There is a short tagline at the top of the photo claiming ‘Something wicked this way comes”. This tagline makes the audience think about the concert and what it will be like.
The bottom of the poster gives all of the details, including the dates and locations of the shows as well as where you can buy the tickets from. This is situated at the bottom of the poster, because they want to entice the audience with all of the bands that are on offer at the concert. If the band logos catch the attention of the audience, then they will look down at all of the necessary details.

4. Metal Concert Poster
This is a poster which is similar to the previous one, in that it advertises a heavy metal concert.
Unlike the previous poster, this one has the details right at the top of the page including the date and location of the concert. This is not a big issue on this poster due to the big concert logo grabbing the instant attention of the audience. ‘CALIFORNIA METALFEST’ – the name of the concert is situated right at the top of the poster and this instantly grabs the audiences attention. Below is the logo of the main performing act and this is also much bigger than any other band logos. It is important that the most popular band has the biggest logo on the poster, as audiences will more easily recognise that the concert is one worth attending. Below this is all of the other band logos which shows the massive variety of acts performing at the event.
Once again a dark background has been used to link to the heavy metal themes of anger, aggression, violence and death. There is very little imagery used on these posters besides the band logos as bright images and text will not appeal to the audience that they are trying to target.
