16 I was curious about Radio and TV news transcripts
I was curious about Radio and TV news transcripts. But this is a great resource for current events projects through media other than online newspapers and magazines.

17 Most videos are under 5 minutes and they cover all major events as well as cinematography itself.

18 The mcgruder video.

19 For some reason, a search for “Star Wars” shows trick photography and scenic effects of the 1920s. Also a video of the challenger disaster came up

20 Sample of portal site that gives you the chance to search over 51 million valid websites from federal and state governments, the District of Columbia and U. S. Territories. Multidisciplinary information for any research project involving laws working and careers, consumer protection, grants and loans, as well as portals to many government sites helpful to citizens.

And here’s what kids and teachers see. NOTE: the Timelines, which are becoming more popular. The Britannica rep said that they are adding more timelines because they are so popular. News articles are from real newspapers and journals all over the world. Also, don’t miss “Learning Materials” which offers specific info by subject.

29 Take a minute to click on your subject.
In case we can’t get Internet access to work---Language Arts.

30 Explore geography, history, biographies, sciences, & the arts.
On the left you have a table of contents and on the right you have quick facts.

31 The Web’s Best Sites Over 20,000 Websites reviewed by our editors that ensure students safely expand their study across the Internet. Multimedia & Videos A collection of over 12,000 images, illustrations, maps, and video clips from Britannica’s archives. Learning Materials A selection of interactive lessons, exercises, and study guides related to your search. Britannica versus Googling or Wikipedia—This looks like too much information, but it requires some thought. Other resources are less challenging but less useful or valid.

32 I did a search for “Geometry
I did a search for “Geometry.” and found 818 articles, so I clicked on the top one for images.

33 These are just images. But brief articles are still connected to them and there are links for more information.

34 So I clicked on “Cavalieri’s Principle” to see what came up besides the image, and I got an article about the principle and four related articles about subjects relevant to the image I am looking at. There is one about Archimedes, about geometrical calculus, about the precalculus period and about the history of mathematics in Asia.

35 Then I went back to my search page and clicked the “subject browse” button on the left and look what came up—all the branches from the general topic of geometry and then related topics and content. And there’s lots more that wouldn’t fit on this page.

36 Double Click on any word anywhere in the encyclopedia—even “the”—and you get the definition.

37 Make sure you check out learning materials for your subject area!
