4. MPLS Deployment Status
Have been working with MPLX-IX project team (Distix) since 2001
Distix project formed in Japan with Intec as a chair and 20 plus organizations to research and test MPLS-IX concept
Key features of MPLX-IX includes
- data link media independent
- eliminates 3rd party next-hop, broadcast attack problem
Planning to incorporate MPLS by 4Q 2002 taking advantage of the fruits of our project efforts
