3 Steps to Take Find something you’re interested in. If you like several things, ask to shadow Pick a school with a program and campus you like Apply to several colleges ($30 or $35 fee) Fill out FAFSA as soon as possible! Go to the college website (and others) and look at their scholarship lists Also, look at the course layouts for your area of study Plan your classes – speak with an advisor, keep checking your myPath/Blackboard

1. Go to your college website and evaluate the course equivalency guide 2. Consider the MACRAO agreement 3. Orientation is needed before registering 4. Send the university transcripts after each semester 5. Meet with an advisor before registering

Some programs have other requirements than just taking courses in order to receive a degree 58 credits MUST be completed at the university you will graduate from, regardless of other classes and credits accumulated Colleges have an absence policy that can result in a lower grade

10 Advice Check into some hidden benefits your college may offer
ex. GVSU 12 credits vs. 15 credits Go to your college website and look at available scholarships!! Don’t expect to be chased to do your work, you’re on your own. If you miss a day, a classmate Don’t take time off to “discover what you want to do” Seriously consider a community college, especially since you get last pick when registering Get involved!
