I thought about questions like “ What Smartness is important?” RESEARCH QUESTION: Do you think you're smart? Why or why not? I chose this question because I simply wanted to know if people think that they're smart or if they think that they're dumb.

Ancient Times: They thought that the brain was the organ that controls thought. Galton: He believed smartness runs in the family. Scientist: Scientist tried to prove that the English skull was superior. Binet: He was the man that created the IQ test. Stereotype Threat: Stereotype threat is when negative stereotypes are being said about a group. Today's Smartness: Tests are a way to determine smartness

RESEARCH QUESTION: Do you think you're smart? Why or why not? I interviewed mostly seventh graders from our school, MCLA. All of the kids I interviewed thought they were fairly smart. They all gave me different answers, but I thought they all lead up to one statement. Statement: I'm smart at my own levels.

Xipe Totek - Transformation
My findings help transform others who think that there is only one smartness. Again I think. that everyone is smart at their own levels. There is no exact definition of smartness.
