People generally remember 50% of what they see and hear
People generally remember 10% of what they read

3. Listeners are likely to remember and understand your message if you use more than approach. This can be done by adding variety to your Power Point presentation.

4. How to Create a Power Point
Open Power Point
On first slide
Add title to Title Slide
Add sub-title if desired
Add new slide
Select layout
Add text or graphics
Repeat until all information is entered

5. Adding Design On Toolbar, click on Design Scroll to view backgrounds
Click on desired background
Change colors of the background, fonts, and effects as desired

6. Adding Transition On Toolbar, click Transition
Select how slides transition
Select sound
Select timing and how slides advance

7. Adding Animations On Toolbar, click on Animations
Select how text and objects enter a slide, emphasis on slide, and exit slide

8. How to embed a video from youtube.com
Go to youtube.com and select a video
Click share, then embed

9. Copy highlighted code

10. Go back to Power Point slide
Click the Insert tab, click drop down arrow under Video, click on Video from Web Site
In box that appears, paste code

11. When Power Point is run, the video will play

12. Adding Narration Computer must equipped with: Microphone Sound card
Speakers

Select Normal View
Select slide to begin narration on
On Slide Show tab, in Set Up group, click Record Narration

14. Adding Narration continued
Click Microphone Level and follow directions to set microphone level, click OK
Embed or Link narration
In Slide Show view, speak narration
Click slide to advance
Continue for each slide
