Paper people This weeks reflection is entitled paper people. It is inspired by a poem of the same title by slam poetry world champion Harry baker. Harry and his friend Chris will be performing in school and working with year 9 on Friday.

Paper People Word In school we are surrounded every day by lots and lots of paper… but also people. Our school values remind us that ‘in the end it all comes down to people.’’

Paper People Word Many of Harry’s poems are inspired by his Christian faith. Jesus encouraged his followers to believe in people. “Heaven is already within you.” (Luke 17:20) You may wish to discuss what students think Jesus meant by this

Paper People Response Or as Harry put it “We like people, because even when situations are dire it is only ever people who are able to inspire… we believe in people” In the poem Harry identifies ‘people who inspire.’ In the quiet consider our school values and take a moment to identify the people who may inspire you...

Paper People Response You are invited to come to the front and write the names of those people who inspire you on the board. You may what to give students an opportunity to share why those people inspire them
