First Grade:
Reading– Our focus will be short and long vowels, consonant digraphs, r-controlled vowels, 2 and 3 syllable words.
In whole group, our focus will be on historical figures.
Practice sight words and read AR book every night.
Math: This week we are continuing to learn strategies to add and subtract and solving word problems.
Second Grade:
Reading– Our focus will be on seeing the big picture by understanding characters’ feelings, actions, and traits.
Math– This week we are learning how to add and subtract within 100 solving one and two-step word problems.
