P is for Place Mountains, near volcanoes, on people’s bodies, on other plants Ever heard of Edelweiss? This was a plant that grew high up on the top of Austria’s mountains Men used to climb the mountains and try to get them for their honeys (often falling and meeting their death)

Too little= Chlorosis
4
L is for Light Photoperiodism is a length of darkness that a plant keeps track of and will initiate flower buds.
5
A is for Air Soil or media has space for air, water, and nutrients (pore spaces) If the soil is filled with only water, it will not provide the air that is needed for respiration Make sure you talk to your plants to give extra CO2, acts like fertilizer
6
N is for Nutrients Plants needs Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K) N- gives green growth P- makes the plants have flowers, fruits, and roots K- is what makes the plants have vitality/vigor
7
N is for Nutrients If a seed is planted directly in nutrients…
A good way to naturally improve the soil and add nutrition… When plants don’t have enough nutrients: Chlorotic Wilted No fruit
