2 Types of Baths Half bath/powder room: sink and toilet
Full bath: sink, toilet, bathtub ¾ bath: sink, toilet, shower with no tub Master bath: full bath located as part of master bedroom suite or area

3 Consider the following when planning for baths:
Locate baths near existing plumbing lines to lower construction costs Position bathrooms to provide sound barriers between private and social areas Consider how many people will use the bath Design and measure the layout carefully as it is difficult and expensive to move fixtures Allow space for safety Check local building codes for minimum requirements needed for the bath.

9 Components: Bathroom sinks/lavatories/wash basins
Wall-hung: has open space beneath sink, can make room appear roomier Pedestal: supported by a freestanding base, often artfully shaped or appears as sculpture Inset sink: set into a countertop, cabinet below adds storage Above counter: looks like a decorative washbowl set on a counter. Plumbing is below. Vanity: base cabinet in a bathroom, conceals pipes, and provides counter space and storage

Can be mounted on wall or floor Ultra low flush (ULF) toilets may be required by local building codes, use no more than 1.6 gallons as compared to the older models which use up to 5 gallons.
