The Cold War was the closest event that the world has ever been to a nuclear
war. American spy planes discovered that the Russians were secretly building
nuclear weapons on Cuban soil. The USA saw this as a threat, therefore in response,
They blockaded Cuba, preventing Russian ships from getting through. Meanwhile,
The whole world waited for the Russians to retaliate.

3. When? The Cuban missile crisis took place during the period
of the Cold War which first started in 1947 and finally
Came to and end in 1991.

4. Who? Russian nuclear missiles were stored in Cuba and were
threatened to be used against the United States of America.

5. Where? Russian Missiles were secretly being stored on the communist
island of Cuba.

6. Why? The Russians tried to threaten the USA with the building
of the nuclear missiles hoping that they would feel intimidated
by this gesture.
