PURPOSE How to enable guests
Talk track:
Many networks support guest connectivity, and implement guest access in a variety of ways, with many unsecure, both for the network and for the user.
Aerohive’s approach to guest networking utilizes our PPSK technology with our cloud based guest management solution, ID Manager, to both securely authenticate users, and provide an encrypted experience. Guest registration can be completed via a number of ways, including social media login, kiosk portal, receptionist provisioning, employee sponsorship or through our iOS app. Once the keys have been created they can be printed, SMS’d, ed, or simply displayed.
For the user, it is extremely simple to get online, and administrators have full visibility and control of the users, with the power to revoke access at any time if needed. Each key is time based, defined by the admin or sponsoring employee. If the key expires, an employee can easily re-activate a key for their guest, without needing IT support.
