Why is communication important?
Parents and teachers needs a good working relationship There is a common goal; the success of the child Communication is key so everyone understands the roles and expectations Roles do not replace but complement each other Both sides have expectations Parents expect teachers to instruct and guide learning Teachers expect parents to support instruction at home Shared expectations are behavior and academic performance

Now, your turn! - -Find a partner to create a communication tool for use this upcoming school year -I will be walking around to help as needed We will take a few minutes at the end of the session to share ideas The goal is for everyone to have at least one communication tool before leaving!
