George tells Slim what happened with Lennie and the girl in Weed.
Lennie is out in the barn with Slim’s pups.
Carlson convinces Candy to let him shoot his old dog.
George and the guys seem to think Slim might be messing around with Curley’s wife.
Candy offers to put up $350 of his own money to buy the farm George and Lennie were talking about as long as he can come too.
George agrees, and they all decide to work for one more month and then leave together.

Act II Recap
John & Elizabeth have a “heated” discussion about their relationship and the past seven months.
John accuses Elizabeth of not forgiving him and being cold
Elizabeth says it’s all in his head and that she thinks he still has feelings for Abigail
Elizabeth pressures John to go into town and tell everyone what Abigail told him about it was for “sport” and it “had naught to do with witchcraft.”
John said he can’t prove it because they alone when she said it… dun-dun-DUNNNNN.
Mary Warren comes home and says that thirty-nine people are now accused , Sarah Osburn has been sentenced to hang, and that Elizabeth’s name has been mentioned.
Mary Warren also hands Elizabeth a poppet when she arrives home as a gift.
Rev. Hale arrives to question the “Christian Order” of the proctor home.
Proctor admits not going to church because he feels Parris is only in it for money and he sees no “light of God in that man.”
Hale, convinced all is fine, orders John to go to church regularly again and to get his youngest son baptized immediately and then goes to leave.
