To determine if IFTA credentials still are relevant and necessary given current technology.
Decals and license effective and efficient?
What are the current technologies?
Which are the most used and reliable?
Identify issues faced by roadside enforcement

4. Data Quality
Account status information must be accurate and timely. Verify:
USDOT numbers
Not all licensees have their own DOT#.
Should not use their carrier’s DOT#
Legal names
FEINs

5. Recommendations
Create pilot project to evaluate mobile app for roadside screening.
Looking for volunteer jurisdictions
Allow jurisdictions to issue licenses electronically
Each jurisdiction may decide whether to accept pdf of license on a device.
