3 We are to pray.... “For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” 1 Tim. 2:2 Rom. 13:13a “Let us walk honestly, as in the day; 1 Thes. 4:12 “That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without.” Heb. 13:18 “to live honestly” 2 Cor. 13:7 “do that which is honest”

4 Honesty “fairness and straightforwardness of conduct: Integrity ; adherence to the facts: Sincerity.” Opposite = dishonest, fraudulent Synonym = honorable, free from fraud “better, honest, worthy, well, honorable, decently, comely, noble”

5 Dishonest Ways Stealing Ex. 20:15 “Thou shalt not steal”
Lev. 19:13 “Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbor, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.” Defraud = is a word that means to get deceitfully. Rob = Take away by force

6 Dishonest Ways Cheating on Income Tax At Work

7 Dishonest Ways Lying and Gossiping

10 Why are People Dishonest ?
Lack of Respect for the other person Not popular to be honest Low Concept of God 2 Cor. 5:10. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”

11 Why should I be Honest ? Because I am a Christian !
Because I want to go to heaven ! Because honesty is the best policy !

12 Honesty A person really cheats themselves when they are dishonest
Num. 32:23b “...be sure your sin will find you out.” A dishonest person cannot enter heaven 1 COR 6:10. “Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

13 Honesty Love God Love Fellow Man
Honesty may well be described as doing, saying and thinking what is truth and right. Cure for dishonesty Phil. 4:8 “Think on these things” “Whatsoever things are honest” Pro. 23:7 “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:” Love God Love Fellow Man
