Harmful Lava bombs harden as they fall to the ground. They can sometimes hit people. Lava is molten rock that reaches the surface of the earth. When it is under the earth, it is magma. It can and will severely burn you if you touch it.

Pompeii, Italy It was once was a ancient city that layed at the bottom of Mnt. Vesuvius. On August 8th, ’79 A.D. it erupted. A thick cloud of ash suffocated and buried the city. Approximately more than 2,000 people died.

Archeologist uncovered most of Pompeii. Since the eruption the city practically stood still. For example, plaster casts of ash layed wrapped around the skeletons of the desced. More than half of the city is uncovered which can still be visited today.

Visit If you travel to Pompeii, Italy then you can walk around seeing merchandise, advertisement, and life that is stood still.
