22 Bio-monitoring technique by NAA
The moss bio-monitoring technique was applied to air pollution study in the city of Ulaanbaatar. Sampling: The samples of the terrestrial mosses Rhytidium rugosum and Entodon concinnus were collected in the southern part of the city in September 2015 in accordance with the sampling strategy of the UNECE ICP Vegetation moss survey programme. Methods: INAA using epithermal neutrons at the IBR- 2M reactor, FLNP, JINR Atomic absorption spectrometry at Central Geological Laboratory (CGL) of Mongolia Results: 42 elemental concentrations Fig. Satellite image of Ulaanbaatar city. 1-built-up area; 2-Ger area; 3-forest; 4-grass; 5-soil; 6-water.
