3 PSM IMPLEMENTATION IN FKMP
Introduction Pre-requisite Goal Course Learning Outcome Attendance and Regulation PSM supervisor / Supervisor Selection Logbook FKMP

4 Introduction The Bachelor’s Degree Project (PSM) is a systematic academic training which utilizes the use of engineering knowledge, skills, concepts and problem solving techniques. A project may involve: (1) study of a phenomenon/process/system, (2) design/construction of components/products, (3) software development, or (4) case study. A project could be industrial-based or lab-based. FKMP

5 PSM divided into 2 semester (PSM I dan PSM II)
Pre-requisite PSM I – Minimum 100 credits (latest syllabus 5.2.1) PSM I is a pre-requisite for PSM II PSM I and PSM II must be done in two semester continuously. FKMP

6 Pre-requisite Pre-requisite(Latest) Pre-requisite (old & dissolved)
Minimum 100 credits Total credits(not including current credits) Pre-requisite (old & dissolved) Fluid Mechanics II Thermodynamics II Mechanical component design FKMP

7 Goal The main goal of the Bachelor’s Degree Project I is to expose students to academic research projects enabling them to utilize the knowledge and skill gained throughout their undergraduate studies as well as enhancing their generic skills. FKMP

8 Learning Outcome At the end of this course, the students will be able to: Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialisation to the solution of complex engineering problems within project (C6, LO1) Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective project reports and design documentation, make effective seminar presentations, and give and receive clear instructions; (P4, LO3) FKMP

9 Learning Outcome Conduct investigation into complex problems using research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of information to provide valid conclusions in project report; (P4, LO4) Recognise the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change within project implementation. (A4, LO6) FKMP

10 Learning Outcome Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering and management principles and apply these to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments; (A4, LO9) Understand the impact of project in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development; (A4, LO12) FKMP
