5 Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.

6 He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.

7 Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is in the Lord.
8 He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in year of drought, for is does not cease to bear fruit.”

5. People of godly Conviction
-Are secure in who they are as created by God
-Have the ability to stand firmly in the midst of chaos
-Continue to grow in a spiritually healthy way
-Exercise faith in crisis
-Are joyful with themselves and are a blessing to others

6. Messages from the World
-There is no moral absolute
-Science makes us the master of nature
-Be led by your conscience
-Each person is their own philosopher, revelation is attained by reason
-Humanity can govern themselves
-The individual is sovereign

7. Becoming a person of conviction
-Make the Main Thing the Main Thing
-Make the Word of God the filter for your decision-making
-Connect with a community of conviction
Remember: Those who don’t yet know Jesus are not reading the Bible, they are reading you!
