2. Introduction/Purpose
We created a survey to find out how much both prospective and currently employed teachers were paying (or have paid) for their education
In addition to the tuition total, teachers were asked
to indicate their grade level and area of certification
to indicate forms of payment and financial aid such as loans, grants, and work study

For the school year, The National Postsecondary Student Aid Study surveyed about 114,000 undergraduate students and 14,000 graduate students.
This study includes students at both two and four-year schools.
The average scholarship amount was $2,523.31, with 5.5% of the surveyed students receiving scholarships.
