4 Nutrition & Physical activity
How many calories should you eat in one day? Normal food labels are based on a 2,000 calorie diet. Why should you eat more when you are physical active? When you work out you burn calories that need to be replaced What happens if you don’t eat enough calories? You will crash (faint, pass out, or have muscle soreness) Q: So what is the link between nutrition and physical activity?

Nutrition one pager You will have 30 minutes to complete a one pager A one pager is a single piece of paper where you can design a graphic interpretation of what you learned in class. Must include: Words relating to the topic of Nutrition (5) Colors (Markers / Crayons / Colored Pencils) Images (3) Questions you may have or that we discussed (1) Take your time!! It should be NEAT and ORGANIZED

7 Calories worksheet You will be looking at this worksheet and calculating calories for different foods! Try to work on it individually for 10 minutes We will be discussing it after 10 minutes. 1 gram PROTEIN = 4 calories 1 gram CARBS = 4 calories 1 gram FAT = 9 calories

During this unit you will apply your knowledge of nutrition to help a client. You and a partner will design a better diet for your client based on their needs. You will use the following rubric for scoring and should include all needed areas Your final project is due Monday September 12, 2016 You can it to me at
