2. Why Do We Use Graphic Standards?
Professionalism
Unity, consistency
Branding
Allows work to be easily identified as part of Key Club: “The Key Club Branding”

Flyers, newsletters, training material (like this slideshow), and other publications

3. Using Key Club Logos Basic Rules for use:
Must be placed on a neutral background color
Should never be distorted
0.5 inch isolation all around
On anything smaller than a banner, do not exceed 1.5 in. and 5 in. respectively
Max size: 1.5”
Max size: 5.0”

4. Using Key Club Logos CNH | KEY CLUB
Align the end of the letter “B” of the word “CLUB” to the start of the pencil’s tip
Expand spacing of the CNH | KEY CLUB by 6 pt.
“CNH” is Bold
CNH | KEY CLUB

5. Utilizing the Pencil
Utilized as a header for many different publications
The pencil should be used on the front of all Key Club publication
On a regular 8.5”x11” paper, it should be no larger than 0.5” in height
All pencils should reach from side to side on publications.
Should also be kept in a horizontal position pointing right
No pencils pointing in random directions!

7. Utilizing the Pencil
Use the pencil on the first page of the document, then remove it for the other pages.

8. Creating the Pencil
Creating a pencil is most recommended when dealing with publications.
Just like the Key Club word mark, it is recommended to create a pencil to avoid using an image file for a more crisp look.

9. Creating a Pencil
Here are a few steps on how to create a pencil on Microsoft Word, Publisher, etc.
Go to Insert, and click the Shapes drop down.
Go to the Block Arrows section and use the Pentagon shape.
From here you can create and format a pencil to fit graphic standards.

11. Using Scribble Pencils
Scribble pencils are nice tools to use when creating flyers, ads, and other informal material.
Avoid using a scribble pencil when creating official CNH Key Club publications as a bold, solid pencil represents a more professional look.
Ex. Newsletters, Reports, etc.

Pencils are primarily used for the top of a page.

13. Pencils and Logos
When using Pencils and Logos on publication headers, avoid “stabbing” the logo with the pencil.
This falls out of the compliance of Graphic Standards. X

14. Colors
The following colors are the most commonly used when creating Key Club publications.
These colors are used to maintain the Key Club integrity and give it a more uniform look.

The following colors have been added by Key Club International in 2012.
They are also considered as Graphic Standards.
Note: Please do not forget about using the other Key Club colors as well as these new additions! They all add to the integrity of Key Club material and should all be collectively used.

20. Designing Club/Division Attire
While Graphic Standards isn’t necessary on merchandise, still try to clearly show the:

Region
District (optional)
KEY CLUB
Make your merchandise something that might even help recruit new members along the way!

21. Reminders
When using Graphic Standards, don’t feel limited on your creativity!
There are many ways to still follow graphic standards while creating amazing publications.
Remember the importance of using Graphic Standards – to better represent ourselves as an organization & it keeps a uniform look for all to see!
