2 Biography I have been teaching ESL in Lycée Giraux Sannier, in France since 1999, accountancy English since 2011, in ULCO (Master’s Degree – didactics & ICT training) since 2008, I am an eTwinning ambassador A Microsoft Expert Educator and a Global Forum participant (Barcelona, March 2014) have written 2 ESL books with Ellipses & am co-authoring two books (Hatier / Ellipses).

5 Birth of the project Teacher’s needs To Engage students (weak/shy),
To Promote self confidence, To Bring out the students’ various talents. Students’ needs To Have their work and efforts recognized, To Study in an innovative and creative way.

6 Main objectives To Combine 4 motivation factors
ICT  collaboration, content creation, online publishing, The environnement topic  fighting for a cause Opening onto the international  authentic communication with students from abroad Draws/competitions and prizes (in class / online) Numérique – entrer dans le monde des élèves mais aussi dépasser leurs usages du numérique  leur faire découvrir des outils nouveaux, leur permettre d’approfondir ce sujet.

Writing an e-book – newspaper/magazine articles (starting point: students’ own photos) Analysing other students’ articles Creating logos Making Glogs Exchanging online (on Twinspace -- eTwinning) Writing and sharing collaborative short stories Turning them into comic strips Taking part in class & online competitions (Ocean Challenge/ Paper Planes short story competition)

The project was selected at the Tour de France du Numérique, at the Lille CRDP. At the 6ème Forum des Enseignants Innovants. At the Journées de l’Innovation de l’UNESCO where it received an innovation award (Partnership Prize) It was also awarded the eTwinning European Quality Label Webinar: recording webinar about the online tools

22 International competition
The project was selected on Microsoft Partners in Learning: To compete at the Global Forum (March 2014 – Barcelona). 250 teachers were selected out of 23000 applicants. 7 teachers are representing France.

The Partners in Learning program (PiL) allows educators to Join a worldwide community of dedicated and innovative teachers & Get free training (tutorials,webinars, resources).
