4 How to Participate? Step 1: The district/school submits a letter of interest that provides specific information. Step 2: The school administration completes an online demographic description of the school. Step 3: The school completes the online assessment tool. All administrators, certified staff, support staff, students, parents (30%) and community stakeholders. Step 4: A final report is prepared that cites areas of success and areas in need of improvement, as reported by the school community. Step 5: Site visitor comes to validate results, review data, and observe classrooms.

5 Follow-Up Process: An additional site visit may be conducted, if needed, to validate improvement gains suggested by the assessment. The school will work with BRSE to develop an improvement plan with assistance from representatives of Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, Inc.
