8.What are Harmful Effects of Radiation?
Radiation is harmful in most circumstances. Length and strength of exposure plays a factor in later health, appearance, fertility and bodily functioning. The effects of radiation may even be carried out in the next generation in some instances.

What are Side Effects of Radiation of Throat?
Fatigue Fatigue is an extreme tiredness that does not get better with rest. It’s a common effect of radiation, but the exact cause is unknown. Skin changes Radiation therapy today causes less skin damage than it did in the past, but your skin might still show a response to treatments. Mouth and throat problems Mucositis (inflammation inside the mouth and throat) is a short- term side effect that can happen when radiation is given to the head and neck area.

What are different Types of Radiation?
Alpha Radiation Alpha radiation is a heavy, very short-range particle and is actually an ejected helium nucleus. Beta Radiation Beta radiation is a light, short-range particle and is actually an ejected electron. Gamma and X Radiation Gamma radiation and x rays are highly penetrating electromagnetic radiation.

What is Effects of Exposure to Radiation?
Nuclear Radiation and Health Effects (Updated December 2013) Natural sources account for most of the radiation we all receive each year. The nuclear fuel cycle does not give rise to significant radiation exposure for members of the public, and even in two major nuclear accidents – Three Mile Island and Fukushima – exposure to radiation has caused no harm to the public. Radiation protection standards assume that any dose of radiation, no matter how small, involves a possible risk to human health. This deliberately conservative assumption is increasingly being questioned, and its application following the Fukushima accident caused much suffering and many deaths.

What is Radiation Sickness?
noun noun: radiation sickness 1. illness caused by exposure of the body to ionizing radiation, characterized by nausea, hair loss, diarrhea, bleeding, and damage to the bone marrow and central nervous system.
