Description: California is the third largest state in the country. Its coast line is 840 miles long. Southern California is the most beautiful with its wide, sandy beaches.
Climate: Same all year round. Sunny and 70 degrees. In winter it’s 60 degrees.

5. Motto Eureka…I have found it!
This quote refers to the gold found and the lure of the wild west.
"Eureka" is an interjection used to celebrate a discovery, a transliteration of a word attributed to Archimedes.

6. Nickname
The nickname came from the Gold Rush of and the golden poppies that appear each spring.
So it came as a natural nickname.
Gold is also the official state color.

California Ski-Snow-covered mountains and many different resorts and inns. Perfect place to go ski and relax. Covered with mountains that are huge and great for snowboarding.

Alcatraz Island-Home of the abandoned prison in San Francisco Bay. In Alcatraz became a national recreation area and received designation as a National Historic Landmark in
Petrified Forest- Guests will see native trees such as live oak, Douglas-fir, madrone . The Petrified Forest is known for its fossils, especially fallen trees that lived in the Lake Triassic.
