Why? ONE OF THE FEW INSTITUTIONS WHO DO NOT USE ONLINE SUBMISSIONS UNIVERSITY WIDE ISSUES WITH PAPER ASSIGNMENTS FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF (EG. EASTER BREAK, EXCHANGE STUDENTS, COMMUTING STUDENTS/STAFF, EXTERNAL MARKING) UNRELIABLE FACULTY OPENING TIMES UNAVOIDABLE TRAVEL/PRINTER TROUBLES HUMAN ERROR – CAUSE OF STRESS/ANXIETY FOR STUDENTS LIMITED CREATIVITY FOR ASSIGNMENTS CLEANER, GREENER UNI

However… ‘I DON’T TRUST TECHNOLOGY.’
‘THE WEIGHT OF THE DEADLINE WOULD NOT FEEL AS SEVERE.’ ‘THE LACK OF EFFORT IN CLICKING A BUTTON COULD BE REFLECTED IN THE WORK WE PRODUCE.’ ‘TOO MUCH COULD GO WRONG WITH SUBMITTING ONLINE.’ ‘WHAT IF I MISS A DEADLINE BECAUSE I DON’T UNDERSTAND THE WEBSITE.’ ‘I JUST LIKE HAVING A PAPER COPY.’ ‘IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG ONCE YOU HAND IN A PAPER COPY, THE FACULTY STAFF ARE AT FAULT. IF IT GOES WRONG ONLINE, YOU COULD BE AT FAULT.’ ‘WHAT IF YOU CANNOT ACCESS THE INTERNET?’ ‘I FIND THE FEEDBACK IS BETTER AND MORE HELPFUL ON PAPER COPIES.’

A NUMBER OF NEW MODULES IN CREATIVE WRITING WILL BE USING ONLINE SUBMISSIONS IN SEPTEMBER 2016 SOME STAFF WILL BE UPDATING CURRENT MODULES TO ALLOW ONLINE SUBMISSIONS STARTING IN SEPTEMBER 2016 DISCUSSION OF ONLINE SUBMISSION/FEEDBACK FOR ASSIGNMENTS DUE AFTER THE EASTER BREAK AWAITING FEEDBACK/RESPONSES FROM WINCHESTER STAFF/UNIVERSITIES CANVAS TRAINING TO BE CONTINUED?
