2. Who is Rosa Parks?
Rosa Parks is an African American women who was refusal to surrender her seat to a white male passenger on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama, on December 1, She was arrested for civil disobedience. This caused a protest on December 5, 1955 that spread throughout the United States. Eventually Her quiet and courageous act changed America, its view of black people and changed the course of history.
She then became known as “mother of modern day civil rights movement”

3. Rosa’s Leadership Attributes
Rosa is considered a leader because she stood up for all of her people. when no one else would, she fought for the rights she thought everyone deserved.
Everyone looked to her as a leader because of her courage for doing what she thought was right and fought for her rights.

4. How She Affected History.
Rosa affected history by fighting for desegregation, voting rights, and was very active in the civil rights movement.
She received around 17 awards for all her accomplishments she has made.
She is still very known today and will never be forgotten for changing the world.

On July 2nd 1964, The Civil Rights Act of 1964 Passed, and was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson. Which this civil rights act forbade discrimination on the basis of sex as well as race in hiring, promoting, and firing.
In 1996 She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Bill Clinton
Rosa Parks died on October 24th 2005.
In 2006 a statue of Rosa Parks was placed in the National Statuary Hall in Washington, D.C.
