History of the jackhammer
A jack hammer is also known as a pneumatic drill Its creator was Charles Brady King in 1848 It usually runs on compressed air or electricity, but sometimes it can run on hydraulics There are 3 types of jackhammers: pneumatic, electric and hydralic
3
Pneumatic jackhammer This jackhammer is ran by compressed air
It would be a jackhammer attached to an air compressor which supplies the air needed to work The compressor itself works on fuel though
5
Electric Jackhammer The electric jackhammer runs on an external power source It does not need an air compressor for it to work But it is not as strong as a pneumatic jackhammer Recently, the electronic jack hammer has been updated to improve its power
7
Hydraulic jackhammer A hydraulic jackhammer is much larger than the portable jackhammers It can sometimes be equipped to mechanical excavators They are used for road work, demolitions and quarrying This jackhammer is equipped to a machine called a Rig Mounted They are able to break down vertical walls and ceilings, normal jackhammers can’t do that
