4 Motivation: Expanding the WWC Investment
What Works Clearinghouse: IES Investment Content (Pre-K to 12) Postsecondary Website R2D2

5 Purpose To provide a broad spectrum of support for the WWC Investment; includes two main elements: Conducting reviews of studies submitted as part of the Department’s grant competitions, or reviews of studies that receive Department funding Developing WWC reports and creating new products to disseminate the findings of the WWC

6 Central Tasks Review and Reporting Needs
Review studies submitted for the Department’s evidence-based grant competitions (e.g., Investing in Innovation, First in the World, the Strengthening Institutions Program, etc.) Manage multiple evidence reviews for grant competitions simultaneously & quickly Create other WWC reports and products that may result from these reviews

7 Central Tasks (cont.) Dissemination and Development Needs
Contribute new ideas to enhance the branding efforts of the WWC Create additional user-friendly products for a variety of audiences Propose new and creative ways to disseminate WWC material

8 Period of Performance Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) base contract for 60 months Work performance defined in specific work assignments (task orders) which will specify task objectives, list all detailed requirements, and describe the work to be performed, deliverables, & schedules Nature of the work will vary from task order to task order

9 Task Orders to be Awarded at Contract Start
IES contract management, coordination, & vision for disseminating new products (Task Order 1) Conducting evidence reviews for: Investing in Innovation (i3) grant competition (Task Order 2) First in the World grant competition (Task Order 3) Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP) grant competition (Task Order 4)

10 Potential Future Task Orders
Conducting evidence reviews for studies funded by IES or the Department Managing a “satellite” WWC Help Desk Creating new WWC Products

11 Contract Considerations
IES will require the contractor possess sufficient staff to conduct multiple evidence reviews with overlapping timelines The contractor shall maintain a team of WWC-certified reviewers, ready to begin reviews upon contract start As part of the larger WWC Investment, this contractor must coordinate with the following WWC contractors at the direction of IES: WWC PreK-12 Content WWC Postsecondary Content WWC Website

All webinar related questions must be submitted to the CS & CO by 3 pm (ET) on February 27, 2015. Responses will be posted on on March 3, 2015. Capability Statements are due 12:00 noon (ET), March 3, 2015. RFP’s anticipated release date: Mid-March 2015
