In March and April of 2017 the Astronomical Society of the Pacific (ASP) partnered with NASA, the SETI Institute, Google, the National Parks, and many others to get eclipse materials into the hands of thousands of informal educators
300 boxes to 128 Girl Scout Councils (picture left) designed by the SETI Institute under Reaching for the Stars Cooperative Agreement
220 boxes to Night Sky Network (NSN) astronomy clubs created by ASP for NASA Night Sky Network clubs
23 boxes of Spanish- language materials to clubs are part of a mini grant by American Astronomical Society (AAS) to NSN clubs
National Parks contracted for 22 boxes to prepare interpreters in the path of totality for doing activities with large crowds
