General Objective To develop the vigilance of Port Facility staff in the observation of unauthorised activity within the Port Facility

Specific Objectives To test the vigilance of Port Facility staff to unusual / unauthorised activity within the Port Facility’s Restricted Areas To practice security staff in the conduct of checks on unusual / unauthorised activity within the Port Facility’s Restricted Areas To enhance the security awareness of threats to the Port Facility Meet or better the specified compliance benchmark for this drill.

Required Attainments Security staff will be able to: Recognise activity within Port Facility Restricted Areas that may be considered unusual / unauthorised Act on their suspicions to report such activity Verify the reported activity

Scenario The delivery of ship stores may be an opportunity for illegal trade in contraband goods Once past the security checkpoint, the exchange of contraband goods may take place in secluded areas within the Port Facility Port Facility staff must be vigilant to any suspicious activity

Safety Safety Officer: Physical safety of personnel is paramount
There is to be no physical contact between participants and controllers acting as intruders, etc. Security staff are not to use abusive language when talking to controllers acting as “intruders” Do not neglect the safety of equipment
