1. Welcome to quarter 2! Don’t forget!
General math students will be working with decimals this month, with a focus on decimal place value and operatiions (+, -, x, and ÷).
Accelerated math students will finish their work with fraction division, and move into working with positive and negative numbers.
Fifth graders worked very hard in the first quarter! We had a great trip to Mount Vernon the last week of October, and we are looking forward to another exciting month of learning and giving our Berry best!

Don’t forget!
We will be focusing on reading informational text this month! This will include finding the main idea/details, identifying the organization of the text, and identifying useful text features. Much of the nonfiction we read will focus on how the weather affects the people who go through it.
