1 Year 2 Curriculum Meeting
Welcome to Year 2! Miss Lee Miss Stokes Mrs Sullivan Mrs Tipper Mrs Wright

2 Our curriculum We follow a skills-based curriculum and take our lead from the children’s interests. This allows us to continually move the children forward in their learning. Our first theme is space. The children will be involved in the planning of activities for this theme. Slide 3 – Curriculum Theme based curriculum to develop links in the children’s learning. Lessons we teach are delivered as activities, not necessarily ‘history’ or ‘science. This helps to develop cross-curricular links and encouraged children to develop transferable skills. The theme for this term is World War Two, with a focus on the impact of the war on people’s lives. After half term the focus is on British life since the 1930’s, covering fashion, music, technology and lifestyles.
