1. What is Open ERA?
Open ERA, a software/ framework developed by OKCL, is used to facilitate learner/ student with different courses in English/Hindi/Odia language.

2. ERA Explorer ERA explorer is a secure browser for Open ERA with OES
Admissions from June’17 in OS-CIT, should start and continue learning in ERA Explorer.

3. ERA Explorer Installation
Run the ERA Explorer setup file (ERA_Explorer_Server_Extracter MB)
After successful installation, go to C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 7.0\webapps\OES\resources\ExamClient
Select ERA_Explorer_1.6 and double click to run, wait for successful configuration and restart your system.

4. ERA Explorer Configuration
After reboot, turn off Windows Firewall.
Go to ERA Explorer icon and configure ERA and OES by selecting radio button “Local ERA/OES Server” and “Proceed”.
Thereafter, Select “Both” and register “ERA Server name and OES Server name” as “Server Computer Name”

5. ERA Explorer Configuration error
Turn off Windows Firewall, then submit the exact “SERVER COMPUTER NAME” . BY right-clicking on “MY COMPUTER” you can get your server computer name.

6. MKCL updater error
Go to C:\Program Files\MKCL updater replace the MKCL updater zip file of 13.8 MB

7. LAB session 2 TAC 7
 Now copy and replace the content folder on to the below path.
 C:Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 7.0\webapps\ERA\resources                 
Clear the system cache/temp files from below path:C:\Windows\Temp
To clear temp files, go to Run command and type %temp% select all files and delete.

8. OES Redirection Error
Login OES administrative login and synchronize events i.e.
1.Session Completion test Online Practice test
2. Typing test – English
3. Typing test - Hindi

9. Flash player plugin issue
Solution -:
Install latest flash player from link & check your browser i.e firefox or chrome..if you have Previous version of flash player kindly download the uninstaller from the given link..First Run uninstaller & then run the latest flash player that downloaded

10. Open ERA updater issue -1
Solutions-:
First check whether your user account control is set to LOW (For this Go to
Control panel/User Accounts/User Accounts/Change user account control setting
Drag it to below to"Never Notify" & Press Ok & Restart Pc then)
& system has restarted & also check windows firewall is completely turned off & your antivirus firewall is turned off
Go to desktop and double click on MKCL updater icon then select Get updates .

11. Apache tomcat not started issue
Solution -:
Press windows key with R and type the SERVICES.MSC ,then select apache tomcat right click then start .
If the problem is not resolved then uninstall java and install java 6 and follow the previous step.

12. TAC NOT WORKING (SHOWING THIS ERROR MESSAGE)
Solution
Centres should check and update the Flash player version to the latest version or else the Audio drivers specific to the chipset should be installed & check if you have Plugged in head phone to the computer before starting this chapter.

13. How to reslve Plugin issue
Download VLC Player Latest Version then install VLC …Then go to plugins of firefox & click on allow & remember

14. ERA Database Connect issue
Press windows key with R and type the SERVICES.MSC ,then select apache tomcat with mysql 5.5(OKCL ERA) right click then start & server machine restart
Then check OpenERA is working or not …Kindly uninstall the following Program(apache tomcat , mysql 5.5,Java 6,OKCL OES,OKCL ERA,MKCL Updater)
Then delete the folder of mysql,OKCL ERA,OKCL OES ,MKCL Updater from Program files of Local disk (C)

15. Security certificate error with OES
If you are facing this issue Call us we have a file that you need to install after that your issue will be resolved

16. Content missing Popup
Here you check if you have a completed course content of OSCIT, if you don’t have this warning message will come & or else check downloading of content is properly completed.
If complete content is there & this popup comes “Synchronise course content “
If again arises ignore this issue

17. http 500 hanling error
In this case go to MKCL updater click on Reinstall Updates.
After update is complete resync the event data.

18. OES Unable to create database backup
In this case uninstall OKCL OES from Control Panel & reinstall OES.exe file & again update using MKCL Updater.

19. OES Database backup process not progressing
In this case run smart client.exe which can be located on C:\Program Files (x86)\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 7.0\webapps\OES\OES-SmartClient & click on database backup..Choose the path to save & backup will saved on that path.

20. OES sync process not progressing
In this case run smart client.exe which can be located on C:\Program Files (x86)\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 7.0\webapps\OES\OES- Smart Client & sync there. Go to web OES & do LF login download Candidate login report

21. Unable to Update on MKCL Updater
Always after system format check User control access is set at Never Notify .For this go to Control panel/User Accounts/User accounts/Change user account control setting
After this this issue can be resolved

22. 54:10 Error
For this go to your Date & time setting se your time zone to GMT +5:30 Chennai,Kolkata,Mumbai,Delhi(IST Time zone) & Check for AM,PM also.

23. 1067 Error with mysql service start
This happens when your mysql table is created dueto unavoidable conditions.
For this Kindly run services.msc then goto OKCLOES & stop the service & restart if its not getting restarting kindly uninstall all the Programs of OPENERA from control Panel & reinstall.

24. What is the minimum system requirement for running OKCL Framework
For this kindly maintain a miimum of 4GB RAM,Dual Core Processor 1.6 GHz Processor, 250GB Hard disk, DVDROM Drive, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Card & Windows 7 Operating system all versions.
After maintain this this issue will resolved.

25. Apache tomcat service not starting
Here check if you have updated automatically your java 6 to Java 8.If yes then please uninstall Java 8 from Program Files of control Panel .Then restart PC & after restart then run/services.msc & click on apache to start.If the Problem not resolving Kindly uninstall all the OPENERA related programs from Control Panel.

26. Klic assignment issue
For this issue first click on Upload assignment check which file it requires to upload.Then ask the learner to perform the above mentioned activity after that if it is a .zip file compress the file to .zip or if it’s a .mp4 file kindly while the learner performing the activity record the session with screen recording tool like Bandicam. & Upload it..

27. Batch not showing in OPENERA
Check first the is there any learner is there in that month.If yes then do LF login after that download the course with sync the course .Your issue will be resolved.Kindly note that you have Updated your OpenERA version to the latest version i.e 2.4 version using MKCL Updater.

28. Learner validity Expired
For this goto your solar login & check your learner & click on send to OPENERA.After that a popup will come with learner sent successfully to OPENERA.Then goto OPENERA LF Login & download leraner data with learner login details again and Start Learning

29. OES error in database connection failed
First run services.msc & check OKCLOES service is started or not.Then start the service & wait till it get started.Then Relaunch OKCL OES from Desktop.
If the problem still arises then uninstall OKCL OES from control panel & reinstall.

30. Biz client Payment mode not showing
In this case first sync with Bizclient.If the problem not resolved then uninstall Bizclient & reinstall again & update it.If not resolved mail us at &
