Originated from a myth about evil spirits roaming the Earth- Lord Samhain would bring them back
Trick-or-treating was originally called “mumming” or “guising
Jack-o-lanterns came from a myth about Stingy Jack

4. Why we celebrate it
Kids dress up like evil spirits to roam asking for candy
We have Jack-o-lanterns because of the Irish Folk tale of Stingy Jack
Christian Holiday- before All Saints Day
