GENERAL GOALS Collect and provide the necessary documents to learning activities, teaching and research, regardless of their support Help the users in their research Locate documents that the library does not hold Interaction with the Community Interinstitutional cooperation

USERS’ RIGHTS Attending the spaces during the library opening hours
Expect a proper attention on the basis of cordiality and mutual respect Consult the available funds and request home loans, according to the library regulation Request Interlibrary loans Have remote access to information and bibliography and other resources made available by the library Use the computers and the photocopying & scanning services for study and research purposes Make suggestions and complaints

USERS’ DUTIES Users must familiarise themselves with and observe the regulations and procedures of the library Users must comply with the rules and deadlines for home loans Users must properly use the facilities, equipment and bibliographical species Users must not engage in conduct that is likely to cause inconvenience, annoyance, or offence to other readers or members of staff Users must follow all reasonable requests of library staff Users shall be held responsible for any loss or damage of library material

HOW TO BEHAVE IN THE LIBRARY
Comply with the library regulations and posted warnings in the reading room Occupy the group study rooms only for this purpose Find out about the guidelines for using the group study rooms and respect them We only have 6 group study rooms. Respect the shifts for their use The Library is not responsible for personal items that are lost, stolen, or damaged on library premises

WHAT YOU CANNOT DO: Smoke, eat, drink (except bottled water)
Use mobile phones and pagers Speak outloud Put the books back on the shelf Loss, damage or disfigure by writing or other marks any of the labrary materials

ADVANCED SEARCH - GLOBAL BASE
Advanced serach allows you to search by author, title, word, etc. and use Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) Global base gathers the content of the different data bases allowing to search different document types
