23. Water conservation in the University of California System
University of California is a leader in water conservation and water efficiency.
On January 14, 2014 President Janet Nepolitano announced a goal of reducing per capita water use by 20 percent throughout the UC system by year 2020.
Every campus has its own Water Action Plan.
