Social Emotional Beginning of year:
He would introduce himself by first and last name. He showed sympathy toward me by asking to take me to the nurse when I had very bad allergies. He played with new student in class during recess and showed him bathroom during recess. He walked in line with hands everywhere and out of line.

Social Emotional Continued…
Now: He walks in line with his hands to himself and stays in line the way the teacher asks him too. Continues to introduce himself by first and last name. He helps his fellow 2 group members who are girls when they need his help during a task in class.

Reading Skills Beginning of year: He could hold book upright and knows that reading starts from left to right. He knew and could make 24 letter sounds. He struggled reading his sight word books, and he could not pronounce all the sight words. He did not point to words while reading or when someone else was reading.

Reading Skills Continued…
Now: He can make all letter sounds and all the vowel sounds. He can identify the author and illustrator of the book and knows what each of their jobs in creating the book are. He can read all his sight word books. He can read all the sight words in their sight word sheet.

Language Arts Skills Beginning of year to now: Letter Recognition learning process. He started by recognizing 4 uppercase and 6 lowercase letters in Sept. to now knowing all 26 letters by Oct 3. (9/4)- 4 uppercase, 6 lowercase (9/25)- 15 uppercase, 15 and lowercase (10/3)- 26, uppercase, lowercase

Language Arts Now: (11/4)- Wrote “We see a pukn.”
(11/18)- Wrote “I and like pumpkin” Growth in writing the word “pumpkin” in two weeks.

Math Skills (9/19)- he counted 1-11. (10/10)- he counted 1- 13.
Beginning of year and now: Rote counting with no interruptions Goal: count to 100. Goal met: 11/18 (9/19)- he counted 1-11. (10/10)- he counted (11/14)- counted 1-79. (11/18)- counted Mom mentioned to teacher that he has been practicing at home. He mentioned he has been practicing in the bus as well.

Math Skills Continued…
Now: He understands the concept of creating number 4 and forming equations. (11/21)- Lesson of using beans to shake and spill on floor, one side red and one side white, this is from my observations. He said: “1 red and 3 white equals 4,” second roll “2 red beans and 2 white equals 4,” Third roll “1 red and 3 white is 4.”
