What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
2
Megan Holding From the process of constructing our product, I have learnt more about many aspects of technology than I previously knew, such as editing software and video cameras. Regarding editing software, I have learnt how to change and move different clips around to create an appropriate product. I have also learnt how to use different filters and effects to change the mood of a clip. From using editing software, I found that editing sound can be complicated but that using the correct software - audacity - that you can make sound louder, quieter and split and cut it to fit the atmosphere of our product. Regarding video cameras, I previous knew how to record, but I have learnt a lot about how to change certain settings to create a better clip. For example, I have learnt how to change the focus, lighting and filters of a video camera so that in the same way editing software does, it can change the mood and focus of a clip for the audience.

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
4
Megan Holding From my preliminary task to my final product of an opening title sequence, I have learnt many things about how to film and edit clips and shots, from technical aspects to theory aspects. I feel that I have progressed since making my preliminary task and that it is obvious to see the developments I have made to my knowledge, when comparing the quality of my preliminary task to the quality of my opening title sequence.

Megan Holding I believe I have learnt in the progress from my preliminary task to my final product: How to make the clips and shots flow rather than jump using editing software, such as Moviemaker That you need space around you for the camera to get a good shot How to adjust the tripod to get different camera angles The best ways to use and move the camera as well as the best lightings and settings to use More about different concepts and a better understanding of them, such as the 180º rule, shot-reverse-shot and match on action More about the use of lighting, such as key, back and fill lighting
