1 Task 2: Deadline Wednesday 8th November JOBS RESEARCH
By Zac Collard-Baker

2 Entry Level Job (Plymouth Herald - Local newspaper)
The job role will entail writing articles mainly about football and Plymouth Argyle but sometimes for other sports such as basketball. These articles could be for a print newspaper or to be consumed online. The responsibilities of this job is to write articles daily, the plymouth herald post around 5 articles a day about the local football team I wouldn’t necessarily be in charge of people straight away but it could become the case and i manage the department. The job will pay around £23,000 The job will be based in an office until Saturday when i would be at a football stadium reporting a game. It would be full time 9-5. I would need a degree (preferably in journalism) a skill i would need is an ability to communicate (verbally and written) Some pros are that i would be covering a football team that i support and that it is also local, a con would be that it is less paid than the other job

3 Senior Level Job (National Newspaper)
Much like the local newspaper job i would be writing articles on multiple platforms but this time for a national newspaper, the articles will be more mixed as i wouldn’t be focused on one club or even one league. The responsibilities would be researching and write articles about football, the articles probably won’t be daily as there will be many people on the sport team instead of a small group. I would most likely not be in charge of people as there will be someone whose whole job is to manage the team and they won’t have to write articles. The job would pay around £32,000. As it's one of the top journalism jobs it could be more The job would be full time office work 9-5 but i wouldn’t have to follow a team around the country like at the herald. I would need a degree and a good portfolio of work along with years of experience. The pros of this job is that its higher pay and also in the capital city but that could also be a con as i would be away from family and friends.

4 Professional behaviour
There is a lot of professional behaviour required for working in the journalism sector. One of them is that you need to be punctual as if you turned up late to an interview they might not want to talk to you and then you lose an article.
